We keep your data as safe as your grades 🦆

StudyFlow is an iOS app for university students. It brings your schedule, tasks, flashcards, notes, and finances into one place, and it works on iPhone, Apple Watch, and your Home Screen.

We built it so your student life stays on your own devices. We don't want your data, and we don't need it to make the app work. This policy explains, in plain language, what StudyFlow handles and what it doesn't.

Here is everything StudyFlow works with:

  • University credentials. Stored in the iOS Keychain only. They are never sent to our servers.
  • Academic data. Your timetable, grades, and exam dates are fetched on your device, directly from your university's portals.
  • Personal data. Tasks, notes, expenses, and flashcards are stored locally on your device, or in your iCloud if you use iCloud sync.
  • Anonymous analytics. Opt-in only. Nothing is collected unless you turn it on.

We use your information for one thing: making the app work for you.

  • We never sell your data.
  • We don't use third-party ad targeting.
  • If you opt in to anonymous analytics, we use it only to find bugs and improve the app.

  • iOS Keychain protects your university credentials.
  • Face ID / Touch ID App Lock keeps StudyFlow closed to anyone but you.
  • iCloud sync is end-to-end encrypted when you choose to use it.

No system is perfectly secure. Keep your device passcode private and your iOS up to date.

StudyFlow uses a news feed API to load articles, and that's the only third-party service built into the app.

  • No ad SDKs.
  • No tracking SDKs.

If you use iCloud sync, Apple's own privacy policy applies to the data stored in iCloud.

StudyFlow is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll help sort it out.

  • Delete everything. Delete the app and the data stored on your device goes with it. If you use iCloud sync, you can also remove StudyFlow's data from your iCloud settings.
  • Ask us anything. For any data request or question, get in touch and we'll respond.

If we change this policy, we'll let you know with an in-app banner. The effective date at the top of this page will always show when it was last updated.
